9 Jul 2019
Nantucket is an iconic place to visit for the 4th of July, but the rest of July has just as much to offer. Whether you’re traveling with your family or that special someone, things to do in Nantucket in July range from an art fest to a sandcastle building competition.
And while we know you may never get sick of spending your days at Nantucket’s world-class beaches, here are a few of our favorite events for those moments away from the sun and sand.
Cisco Brewers Trashion Show
The 4th Annual Cisco Brewers Trashion Show is a celebration of upcycled fashion. Located at Cisco Brewery and hosted by the Nantucket blACKbook, the July 9th event raises funds for local charities and raises awareness for eco-conscious and ocean-friendly habits.
Nantucket Comedy Festival
Ready for some laughs? In its 12th year, the Nantucket Comedy Festival kicks off July 11 at the Nantucket Dreamland Film & Cultural Center. Proceeds for this event go toward Stand Up & Learn, a non-profit that supports kids building confidence through comedy, writing, and building creativity.
Nantucket Yoga Festival
The Nantucket Yoga Festival brings together local yoga instructors in a three-day event of movement, meditation, and mindful living starting July 12. The event takes place at Bartlett’s Farm and features four sessions on Saturday and Sunday, and multiple classes and workshops to choose from during those times.
Nantucket Garden Festival
Learn about local gardening, creativity with flowers, and more at the Nantucket Garden Festival July 16 - 18. This three-day event features workshops, classes, and speakers at five locations throughout Nantucket. Tour town gardens, learn about new tools and techniques, and get hands-on experience creating beautiful pieces to take home with you.
Nantucket Art & Artisan Show
The Nantucket Art & Artisan Show started in 1991, and today it attracts more than 3,000 people to browse over 60 artists and artisans. Buy homemade pottery, furniture, jewelry, textiles, repurposed antiques, and more at the event July 18 - 21.
