Are Dogs Always Allowed on Nantucket Beaches?

While it's peak season, lifeguards are on duty at many of Nantucket's beaches between 9 am and 5 pm. Because the beaches are so crowded, dogs are only allowed on Nantucket beaches when there is no lifeguard stationed. During the off-season, dogs are allowed on the beaches all day long. Some beaches only allow dogs during off season while strictly prohibiting them other times of the year, be sure to check signs and follow regulations.
