Getting Your Dog to Nantucket
Getting your dog to Nantucket is easy! Dogs are allowed on the Hy-line and Steamship Authority Ferries at no additional charge. Cape Air allows one pet (two if they are with the same family) per flight for a small fee. We recommend booking your pet's flight in advance.

Ran out of your dog's food or want to get your good boy or girl a new toy? Be sure to visit Geronimo's and Cold Noses. Geronimo's of Nantucket is a pet supply and gift shop in the mid-island and Cold Noses is located downtown on Straight Wharf, both owned by the same people. Geronimo's also offers pet services, like dog walks and feeding visits if you're spending a long period of time away from your vacation rental and you're not going a dog-friendly spot.
Offshore Animal Hospital and Animal Care with Kindness offer veterinary services on Nantucket. Offshore Animal Hospital is a full-service, year-round veterinary hospital that offers 24-hour emergency care, house calls, grooming, boarding, and more. Animal Care with Kindness offers in-home, concierge veterinary service on the island.

There are tons of places to take your dog for a walk in nature. You and your dog will both enjoy a walk at Sanford Farm or the 'Sconset Bluff Walk! Plus, there are 12 dog-friendly beaches on Nantucket, including Brant Point Beach, Surfside Beach, Cisco Beach, and Monomoy Beach.

Nantucket also has quite a few pet-friendly restaurant patios. Cisco Brewery is one of the most popular dog-friendly spots on the island. Additionally, Sandbar at Jettie's Beach, Easy Street Catina, Yummy, Island Kitchen, and The Tavern all welcome Fido to their patios.

March 14th, 10 a.m.: Shamrock Run: A fun run/walk to benefit homeless animals ending at Cisco Brewery for food and games! Kids and dogs are welcome!
April 25th, 12:30 p.m.: Daffy Day Dog Parade: Daffy costumes and decorations are strongly encouraged!
May 17th, 10 a.m.: Yappy Hour: Tito's and The Nantucket Wine Festival host a Yappy Hour to benefit the Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals
