Nantucket is home to numerous wonderful dining destinations. Nantucket restaurants are perfect for a casual family night, a formal culinary experience, and everything in between. We wish that we could tell you about every restaurant on the island, but here are some of our favorites. 

Breakfast and Lunch

Island Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner year-round with indoor and outdoor seating in the summer. Located in mid-island, there is parking available. They were voted best breakfast and best brunch in the Inquirer & Mirror 2018 Readers Poll, and they live up to the title!  Island Kitchen even has an ice cream counter to finish off your delicious meal. 

The Downyflake is a Nantucket staple, famous for their delicious doughnuts. Stop by and pick up a coffee and a doughnut at the counter or enjoy a delicious breakfast at the restaurant.  Located in mid-island with parking available. 

Black-Eyed Susan's is another well-known Nantucket breakfast spot, but don't forget that they are opened for dinner too!  You may need to wait to get a table for breakfast, but it is well worth it! With the in-town location, there is plenty to do while you are waiting for your table. 

Lemon Press is opened for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is known for their delicious and healthy meals!  Located right on Main street, it’s easy to stop in for a juice to go, or to sit and enjoy lunch. 

The Tree Bar is a fun brunch or lunch stop in town on a beautiful day.  Enjoy dining outside, with a mimosa or Bloody Mary.

Something Natural is known for the delicious (and huge!) sandwiches.  You can order a half sandwich, and it is still bigger than most other full sandwiches.  Pick up lunch to bring to the beach or bring the whole family and enjoy your sandwiches (and cookies!) outside at their picnic tables. 

Provisions is another beloved sandwich shop.  Located on straight wharf, this is a great first stop, or last stop before getting on or after getting off of the ferry. 

Lola Burgerthe sister restaurant of Lola 41, is a delicious family friendly lunch or dinner spot.  The Lola Burger and the Tuna Burger are not to be missed! 

Dinner

Ventuno Restaurant is a Nantucket staple serving delicious Italian food at 21 Federal Street, an iconic Nantucket address.  Enjoy a delicious dinner, or head to the Back Bar for drinks!

Nautilus has quickly become a Nantucket favorite.  Nautilus is a rustic-modern hot spot featuring global, seafood-centric small plates & inventive craft cocktails. Day of reservations (made in person) only. 

The Sea Grille is a favorite with locals and seasonal visitors alike. Specializing in local and fresh regional fresh seafood, the Sea grille offers something for everyone. Open for lunch and dinner year around.

Straight Wharf Restaurant has been a Nantucket staple for more than 40 years.  With both indoor and outdoor seating, this elegant restaurant is a must when visiting Nantucket.  Be sure to order the clam bake!  If you are looking for a more casual dining experience, The Straight Wharf Bar Grille (attached to the main restaurant) may be for you.  

CRU is a stylish hot spot, right on the water overlooking the boats.  CRU has expansive raw bar options as well as cooked seafood and other fares.  Come for a delicious lunch, dinner, or drinks at one of CRU's two bars.

Millie's Restaurant is a family friendly, casual, and delicious Mexican restaurant located in Madaket. 

Galley Beach is located right on the beach and has the most beautiful setting on Nantucket. Come for a drink and to watch the sunset, or for dinner overlooking the ocean, and maybe even with your toes in the sand. 

Pi Pizzeria has the island's best pizza and more!  Family friendly and open year around, what more could you want? 

Lola 41 serves a delicious global menu and is known both for their sushi and burgers.  Lola has a fun atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.  Want a taste of Lola before coming to Nantucket?  Check out their sister restaurant Lola 42 located in Boston's Seaport District.  Lola Burger is Lola's family friendly sister restaurant on island. 

The Brotherhood of Thieves is a family friendly restaurant known for its burgers and hearty eats. 

The Pearl is a beautiful and upscale restaurant focused on current coastal cuisine showcasing seasonal shellfish and seafood, produce from Island farmers and heritage meats. Their signature entrée, the Salt & Pepper Wok Fried Lobster, is considered to be one of the Island’s best lobster dishes and is not to be missed!  The Pearl is next door to its more casual sister restaurant The Boarding House.

The Boarding House is a Nantucket staple serving New American Fare.  Enjoy lunch or dinner on the patio or inside.  The Boarding House is the sister restaurant to The Pearl, which is located next door.

The Lobster Trap is a casual, long-standing fixture that features New England-style seafood & a boisterous patio bar. 

The Club Car is a restaurant that is attached to a retrofitted railway car.  You will recognize it right away when walking down Main street.  Stop in for a drink at the lively piano bar or enjoy the delicious menu of farm-centric small plates of vegetables, local seafood & ethically-raised meats meant to be shared.
