Labor Day Weekend is a lovely time of the year to visit Nantucket. Unofficially marking the end of summer, Labor Day weekend takes place Friday, September 3 - Monday, September 6, 2021. Nantucket isn't typically very busy during Labor Day weekend, so it's a great time to visit to explore without the crowds. The weather is still great and there is plenty to do.

Spend a Day at the Beach
Nantucket is home to 82 miles of coastline and some of the world's best beaches. From the calm waters along the Nantucket Sound to the surf-friendly waters along the South Shore, Nantucket boasts beaches for all types of activities. Best beaches in Nantucket include Brant Point Beach, Children's Beach, Jetties Beach, Cisco Beach, and Surfside Beach - and those are just naming a few!
If you're bringing your four-legged friend on vacation, there are also many dog friendly beaches in Nantucket so they can play in the sand and water too.
Play a Round of Golf
Miacomet Golf Club has an 18-hole course, driving range, and putting green as well as a full-service restaurant. Miacomet is the only public course on the island, and it offers beautiful views of Nantucket and challenging play for all skill levels.
Experience the Nantucket Dining Scene
Nantucket is home to an amazing restaurant and dining scene, no matter what type of food or setting you're in the mood for while you're here. Grab donuts from The Downyflake, grab a sandwich at Something Natural, and enjoy the raw bar and water views at CRU.
You'll find casual dining spots and elegant experiences all over town. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time if you plan on sitting down for a meal, although some spots do allow walk-ins. But it's better to be safe and reserve a spot than hungry with no other options!
Visit Cisco Brewery
Cisco Brewery is a must-visit while you're in Nantucket. Over Labor Day weekend, Cisco Brewery will have food trucks, live music, and public tours. Food trucks at Cisco Brewing over Labor Day weekend include Big Hug Dumplings, Eat Fire Pizza, Millie's Food Truck, Lobster Trap Food Truck, 167 Raw Bar, Lemon Press Food Truck, and Yoho Raw Bar.
If you're staying near town, you can take advantage of the free shuttle on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which picks up at the Nantucket Information Center on Federal Street. The shuttle runs from 11 am - 7 pm on Friday and Saturday at 12 pm - 6 pm on Sunday.
